Gilbert Town Council Proposes Tax Increase to Fund Infrastructure and Services Amid Inflationary Pressures
Gilbert residents could soon be feeling an uptick in local taxes. According to an announcement from the Town Council, they've unanimously voted to introduce a Notice of Intent to raise taxes across the board - sales, use, and bed. The decision came to light during a Council meeting on August 20, with a formal public hearing slated for October where the final say will be had. Should it pass muster, we're looking at January 1, 2025, for these increases to become a reality.
Platt Springs Crossing $65 million mixed-use development progresses
The Red Bank area of Lexington County is set to be home to a 57-acre mixed-use development named Platt Springs Crossing. The plans are to include a range of new retail, food service, fitness, banking, medical facilities, and 142 townhouses that will transform the local landscape and add to the community appeal.
