Flash flood warning includes Rio Rancho
RIO RANCHO, N.M. — A flash flood warning is issued for south central Sandoval County. The area does include Rio Rancho. Flash flooding is possible in small creeks and streams, on some roadways and low-lying areas, according to National Weather Service. The warning is set to continue until 9:45 p.m. Thursday, July 18.

Cookies Hit With $350K Fine
An Albuquerque cannabis dispensary was hit with a $350,000 fine from the state’s Cannabis Control Division (CCD) Tuesday related to the store’s grand opening in Nov. 2023. According to a settlement agreement between Blue Whale Enterprises and the CCD, the company is now required to pay the state for violations at the grand opening of Cookies dispensary, which Blue Whale Enterprises owns.

Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue adds two new engines
