    Three Rivers Park District offers something for everyone in July

    Three Rivers Parks District has a number of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the outdoors.

    • Outdoor Qigong: Cleary Lake in Prior Lake will host guest teaching artist Scott Stafford for an outdoor practice from 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 14. No experience is necessary for this free program open to anyone over 18 years old.

    •Adult Archery: Baker Outdoor Learning Center in Maple Plain will host an introductory course to archery from 4:30-6 p.m. with equipment provided for those 18 and older. The cost is $12 and reservations are required by July 12.

    • Mountain Bike fundamental skills: Carver Park Reserve in Carver will host two mountain bike sessions for those over 14 years old. The cost is $160 and reservations are required at 763-559-6700. Sessions are from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 19 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20. These clinics are focused on those with little to no trail riding experience.

    • Archery at Baker Outdoor Learning Center: Two classes will be offered on Sunday, July 14 each for $12 with reservations required. Friends and family will learn the basics from 2:30-4 p.m. with a 20% discount for groups of four and larger. The program is open to those over 8 years old, those younger than 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult Archery will learn the basics of the sport from 4:30-6 p.m.

    • Bird Banding: Lowery Nature Center in Victoria will host a bird banding event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 20. Wild songbirds will be safely trapped, studied and tagged with numbered rings. Bring a camera and drop in anytime for this free program open to all ages. Those 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Paddling programs: Cleary Lake Regional Park in Prior Lake will host a stand-up paddleboard lesson for women from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday, July 14. The cost is $35 per person and equipment is provided. There is a 20% discount for groups of four or more. Reservations are required two days before the class.

    • KidSplash: Log Rolling: Fish Lake Regional Park in Maple Grove is hosting a youth log rolling class for kids ages 10-15. The cost is $6 and reservations are required.

    • Sunset Canoe for Women: French Regional Park will host an evening canoe session with staff from the Outdoor Recreation School from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 19. The cost is $12 per person and reservations are required at least two days before and it is open to those over 14 years old.
