New Pennsylvania Western University President Jon Anderson has organized a presidential transition committee to help shape university priorities.

The committee will include representatives of PennWest's three campuses, at Edinboro, Clarion and California. Members will play a key role in engaging communities and stakeholders throughout western Pennsylvania, Anderson said.

"Insights and experience combined with innovation and optimism will drive our work together as we embark on the important work of writing the next chapter of western Pennsylvania's second largest public university," Anderson said.

    Edinboro members

Representing Edinboro on the committee are: Pat Kennedy, of the council of trustees; Garrett Hannah, of the Student Government Association; athletics director Katherine Robbins; Jaime Russell, of the Alumni Association board; faculty members Sam Claster, of the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties, and Peter Kuvshinikov, of the Edinboro Faculty Senate; and staff members Lisa Keating, of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, and Brianne McClellan, of the State College and University Professional Association.

Also serving on the transition committee are members of the president's cabinet, including Edinboro's James Fisher, provost and interim vice president for academic affairs.
