CASA Hidalgo County Casino Night to raise funds for children

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — CASA of Hidalgo County is hosting a CASA Casino Corral fundraiser on Saturday, August 10.

Veronica Whitacre with CASA Hidalgo County said, “We’re excited about that more than anything else. There are different sponsorship levels we have the Golden Chip sponsor, the Black Chip sponsor, Blue Chip, and Red Chip sponsors. There will be a dinner that evening and following the dinner, then the entire night is devoted to casino night. All the funds go directly to CASA to help buy clothes and shoes for the children. In August we’re having a shoe drive because they don’t have a lot of things. So that’s what we do for our children.”

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the St. Michael’s Event Center at 205 E. Conquest Blvd. in Edinburg to support foster children in Hidalgo County.

The event will feature a casino night with dinner, sponsorships, and a shoe drive. This year’s event will be honoring Mayors from Hidalgo County.
