HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The high school volleyball season began on Thursday across the state of Nebraska. The following is included in our coverage. “At the end of the day, it’s the first game out and they’re a quality opponent, they’re well-coached, they have a lot of really good players and so we know a lot about them, so we knew what they were willing to bring,” Adams Central volleyball coach Libby Lollman said. “I liked after that first set how our girls responded. We’re young and we have a lot of new pieces, so I know there are going to be some ups and downs, but I was excited when we settled in, how they finished the game”

New autism center opens in underserved Nebraska area

Lighthouse Autism Center opened its first location in Kearney and third location in Nebraska. Harlan County attempted murder case heads to trial court
ORLEANS, Neb. (KSNB) - An Orleans man is headed to trial court for attempted murder at an RV park. Court records show 47-year-old Christopher Haunton is charged with felony attempted first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and misdemeanor criminal mischief. He waived a probable cause hearing and his case is now pending in Harlan County District Court.
Lady Knights notch first two wins at McCook Labor Day tournament

Kearney blanks North Platte in season opener 20-0
Kearney High Football started off the 2024 season with a 20-0 win over the North Platte Bulldogs on Friday night. The Bearcat defense started off by forcing North Platte to a three and out, Kearney wouldn’t waste any time scoring, with Griffin Novacek showing the long ball off early, with a 44 yard touchdown pass to Cayden John.
