    Project 66 hosts back to school event in Edmond

    EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – The City of Edmond and First Christian Church are sponsoring Project 66 Food & Resource Center’s annual community event to provide school supplies and resources for local students this weekend.

    The event is scheduled Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10 a.m.- 12 noon and will be hosted at First Christian Church in Edmond.

    Bureau of Indian Affairs announce changes to financial assistance and social services programs

    “This event has become a collaborative effort in our community. We love having great partnerships in Edmond that join together to meet the needs of our neighbors.”

    Project 66 Food and Resource will provide a backpack filled with school supplies, complimentary haircut vouchers and lunch for 1,000 local pre-K through 12th grade students.

    Representatives from local agencies are scheduled to join in bringing resources together to provide a comprehensive approach to helping local families in need.

    The event is prepared to serve 1,000 students.
