NORMAL (25News Now) - A 23-year-old man is in the McLean County jail accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl while he was armed with a knife in Normal last year. The alleged assault happened in June of last year in the 1500 block of East College. Normal Police arrested Steve Acosta earlier this month.

PEORIA (25News Now) - The Peoria County Coroner has released autopsy results of the man killed during an officer-involved shooting in Peoria Sunday. According to the autopsy, 46-year-old Donald Wilson suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and suffered immediate loss of his intravascular blood volume. Wilson died instantly.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Peoria Police Department is investigating after a man was injured after a shooting near Hurlburt Street and MacArthur Highway on Sunday. According to Peoria Police Spokeswoman Semone Roth, officers were responding to a 12-round shot spotter in the area when they learned a 25-year-old man with injuries was being transported to a local hospital.
