The historic Harris-Kearney House Museum in Westport can tell many stories, according to local historian Diane Euston, secretary of the Westport Historical Society. It holds stories about life on the frontier and trade in the mid- to late-19th century, and about some of the first white pioneers to settle around Kansas City.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City police responded to shots fired at 54th and Prospect Avenue early Friday morning. Just after 4:30 a.m., a man’s body was found with gunshot wounds in a grassy lot between 54th and 55th and Prospect near a Holiday Motel and Family Dollar Store.

ATLANTA (AP) — The game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves originally scheduled for Friday night was postponed because of persistent rain. The Cardinals, who are in second place in the NL Central, and the Braves, who are second in the NL East, will play a split doubleheader on Saturday at Truist Park. The first pitch for the opener has been scheduled for 1 p.m., and the nightcap will begin at 7:20 p.m., though there is more rain in the forecast.
Juvenile court reduces charge for teen accused of beating girl in north St. Louis County
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with second-degree assault for beating another girl near Hazelwood East High School, and will now be under court supervision for at least six months and will complete community service.
