VIRGINIA—The Virginia Police Department is asking the public to be aware of counterfeit/fake $100 bills that were circulated at businesses around the Virginia area recently. These bills have “Motion Picture Purposes” on the back and have serial number PM 257821811 K3 on the front, according to the VPD. “We are working with the effected businesses attempting to identify a suspect, said Police Chief Nicole Mattson. “We urge everyone to closely examine all $100 bills. 13 and 14-year-old girls were walking on Highway 169 at 1:30 a.m. when hit by car
Coleraine, MN) -- Authorities in Itasca County are identifying the two pedestrians struck by a vehicle Monday morning on Highway 169 near Coleraine at 1:30 a.m. The Minnesota State Patrol says 14-year-old Dakota Jones died at the scene and 13-year-old Aubrey Martin was taken to a Duluth hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The report says Jones and Martin were walking in the southbound lane when they were hit by a car driven by 18-year-old Matthew Trombeck of Marble. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
