EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — In Effingham, families will soon have a new place to play.

The Arena Trampoline Park is coming. The main part of the space is 25,000 square feet. It will have open trampolines, dodgeball courts, and dunking mats, a ninja warrior course, and a rock climbing wall.

The space will also have separate trampoline areas for younger children.

A mom and dad got the idea to open the place after wanting more for their own kids.

“We have three kids, you know — 10, eight and six — and we’re just constantly looking for things to do to get them off their devices and outside and doing fun things,” Co-Owner Darren Rennels said.

Construction inside the building starts this week. The arena is set to open in September.
