Chicago Man Arrested After Alleged Theft at Champaign Walgreens
Urbana, IL – A Chicago man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged theft at a Walgreens in Champaign’s Campustown. According to University of Illinois Police, 29-year-old Geovontae Galloway was apprehended after officers responded to a shoplifting report at the Walgreens on East Green Street at 12:36 p.m. The store manager reported three men stealing merchandise and placing it in their backpacks. Based on descriptions, officers linked them to a series of previous retail thefts in the area.
South Central School registration dates set
The South Central School District has announced registration dates for the upcoming school year. South Central Elementary, Middle and High School students will be held on August 1st and 2nd at the Middle School at 503 South Madison Street in Kinmundy.
