HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Remote Area Medical (RAM) is in need of volunteers for an upcoming free dental, vision and medical service event in Hawkins County.

The free, two-day event will be held at the Clinch School at 1540 Clinch Valley Road in Eidson.

Medical, dental and vision professionals and support staff who can volunteer their time are needed for the clinic. RAM also stated in a news release that it was in need of general support volunteers who could help set up the clinic on Oct. 11 and take it down on Oct. 13.

The nonprofit also needs volunteers for the overnight parking lot and interpreters.

Anyone who would like to volunteer can do so by visiting RAM’s website or by calling 865-579-1530.

RAM’s event is free and an ID is not required. All services are done on a first-come, first-served basis. Some of the services at RAM’s free clinics include dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, x-rays, eye health screenings, eyeglass prescriptions, women’s health exams and general medical exams.
