EL DORADO, Kan. (KSNW) — Butler Community College has a new head instructor for the Redler Culinary Institute.

Ethan Moulds has been named Head Culinary Instructor. Moulds has worked as a pastry chef, a culinary specialist and an instructor for Williams Sonoma.

His most recent position was as a private chef for a Wichita medical office. He trained at Le Cordon Bleu in St. Louis, Mo., where he was class valedictorian and a member of the Le Cordon Bleu President’s List.

“I am excited to teach the classic techniques and foundational principles of the culinary arts to the students of the Redler Institute,” says Moulds. “I am passionate about the culinary arts and thrilled to have the opportunity to watch the skill sets of our students develop.”

The Head Instructor role is a new role at the institute, which was previously run by executive chef Luis Pena and his wife Alicia. They departed earlier this year after three years to start their own business. Butler then decided to change the institute’s leadership structure.

In June, Les Padzensky, a Wichita restaurant industry veteran, was named to the newly created role of Director. Padznesky will handle the administrative duties of the institute.

“I am looking forward to supporting and coaching Ethan and blending the talents each of us possess,” says Padzensky. “Our students will be wowed by their learning experience.”
