Neodesha City Commission Approves Resolution for Downtown Improvements
The City of Neodesha takes the first step toward a downtown renovation. At this week's City Commission meeting, commissioners heard from representatives from the Griffith Group. The group wants to renovate the Brown Hotel in downtown Neodesha by turning it into apartments and office space. A representative from Neodesha's bond counsel Triplett, Woolf & Garretson Andrew Kovar says the resolution before the commission signals the city's willingness to proceed with the project.
SCCC Foundation Receives Record-Breaking Gift from Pepper Trust
LIBERAL, Kan. — The Seward County Community College Foundation has received its largest-ever single donation, a gift of $825,291.76 from the Clifford and Irene Pepper estate. A senior living facility with skilled nursing and assisted living services planned near Lake Olathe is one step closer to reality.
