Hayward police investigate fatal shooting of 16-year-old girl
HAYWARD, California — A 16-year-old girl was fatally shot and a 41-year-old man injured in a shooting incident on West Tennyson Road, police said. Officers responded to the report of a shooting near the 900 block of West Tennyson Road at approximately 11:15 a.m. on July 28, 2024, according to a press release from the Hayward Police Department. Upon arrival, they found a 16-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
