Woman, 18, found dead after being dropped off alone at her social media subscriber's home
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (WKRC) - A woman was found dead after she was dropped off at a subscriber's house last Thursday. According to The Colorado Springs Gazette,26-year-old Jorge Luis Meza-Alarcon was taken into custody after 18-year-old Anabelle Floren-Wyant was found dead at his home. Per the publication, citing an arrest affidavit, deputies found Floren-Wyant dead at the suspect's house at around 3 a.m. last Thursday. Authorities reported that she was found with her pants and underwear pulled down to her ankles and blood near her ear, per the publication.

D-11 finalizes policy prohibiting cellphone use ahead of school year
When class resumes across Colorado Springs School District 11 Monday, it will mark the beginning of a major shift in the presence of cellphones in its schools. Starting in the 2024-25 school year, they will become the first school district in El Paso County to prohibit the use of all students' personal technology devices during instructional time. Along with personal smartphones, this includes smartwatches, tablets, laptops, audio/video devices and any other electronic devices not issued by the district.
