'Rick and Morty' artist, 'Hercules' actor to make appearance at 2024 Soldier Con

The cover artist behind the animated hit “Rick and Morty” is heading to El Paso for Soldier Con at the Starlight Event Center .

The event will be from Sept. 6 to 8 and is free for active military. It features everything from comics and cosplay to cars.

Artist David Angelo Roman made the announcement on his Instagram page. He was sporting a “ Rick and Morty” shirt and opened the video with the show’s popular catchphrase.

“Wubba lubba dub-dub,” Roman said in his post. “It’s going to be an amazing show, check out the line up, it’s amazing.”

Roman joins “Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo, who also posted about his upcoming Sun City appearance on social media.

“I look forward to seeing you there,” Sorbo said. “I can’t wait to meet you all.”

Sorbo will host a special VIP evening, complete with a meet and greet, “Hercules” episode screening, and autograph signing on Saturday, Sept 7, according to the post.

Other notable names appearing at Soldier Con include “Fast and Furious” actor Noel Gugliemi and Ryan Drummond, the voice behind the original video game “Sonic the Hedgehog.”

Actor Matthew De Meritt, who played E.T. in the 1982 film, will also attend the event for a meet-and-greet.

Soldier Con ticket info, pricing:

Soldier Con will be held from Friday, Sept. 6, to Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Starlight Event Center, located at 6650 Continental Drive.

Tickets for Friday cost $12.50, while Saturday tickets are priced at $26 and Sunday are $21.50.

Meet and greets range from $100 for Kevin Sorbo to $150 for Noel Gugliemi.

General admission for military is free with an active Common Access Card.

Hours:

Friday: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
