Near or record heat 5 days this week — Your 9-Day Forecast

    By Robert Bettes,

The official high today is 104. That was just 1 from the record of 105 set in 2023. This adds to the “Misery Meter!” Now, we’re at 33 triple-digit days so far this year. Of course, when it’s this hot, who doesn’t love an ice cold cup of lemonade??

TONIGHT:  The skies will be partly cloudy with scattered t-showers.  Some individual storms may produce brief, heavy rainfall.  Late evening, the t-showers will taper off as skies become mostly clear.  The variable winds will range from 5-15 mph with occasional gusts, and the low will drop to 75.

FORECAST:   Monday will be partly cloudy and hot with a high of 104.  Expect isolated late day t-showers cropping up in the afternoon heat.  The variable winds will range from 5-15 mph.  Tuesday will be even hotter with a high of 106.  Expect partly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of isolated late day t-storms.  Wednesday will be partly cloudy and 103.  On Thursday, high pressure reasserts itself over the Borderland raising temperatures.  Thursday will be partly cloudy and 106.  Friday will be sunny and 105.
