EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Paso del Norte Health Foundation says a two-year $515,000 grant to the United Way of El Paso County will manage its boost network and serve as the “backbone” organization for the Health Foundation’s Healthy Kid Initiative.

The Health Foundation says the Boost Network is a hub for out-of-school time providers that work together to identify and create opportunities to increase the quality of afterschool programs for youth and families in the community.

The Health Foundation also says United Way enhances the network’s impact.

“I am thrilled to continue working with United Way to advance the BOOST Network’s work,” said Sandra Day, associate program officer for the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. “This partnership is instrumental in enhancing the quality and reach of out-of-school time programs, ensuring kids and youth in our region receive the best opportunities for growth and development conducive to healthy life outcomes. The BOOST Network’s collaborative approach and dedication to continuous improvement are key to building a stronger, healthier community centered around youth.”
