Key Biscayne Fire Rescue Chief Eric Lang calls Winn-Dixie "a key player" in providing rapid hurricane or storm assistance. "Winn-Dixie, and especially their manager, Jose Llanes, have been an amazing partner to the Village," Lang said. "They have always tried to serve the community by staying open and providing the essential basic needs of food and water, which doesn't sound all that exciting ... but, let's say, it's important when you need it.
