    Pavement project coming to New Mexico State Road 554

    RIO ARRIBA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – This week, a road project will begin on New Mexico 554. It starts on Wednesday, July 23.

    The New Mexico Department of Transportation is working with Dustrol Inc. to perform a pavement rehabilitation project on NM 554 in El Rito. The work will span from mile marker 0 to 21.

    University of New Mexico Health System provides first-time sleep apnea device surgery

    Crews will be working six days a week (Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and it’s expected to last for 20 work days.

    A lane will be closed during working hours with a 12-foot wide width restriction. The speed limit is going to be reduced to 35 mph.

    As always, drivers are urged to be cautious in construction areas and obey traffic laws and signs.
