    ADOC: Limestone County man found after escape from Elba community corrections

    ELBA, Ala. (WHNT) — Authorities say a Limestone County man who escaped from a community-based facility in Coffee County on Friday is back in custody.

    Alex Christopher Green is serving a 25-year sentence out of Limestone County for an assault. The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) said that Green had escaped custody around 9:20 a.m. Friday.

    The agency said he was recaptured by 8:04 Friday night.

    He was last seen wearing an inmate state khaki uniform.

    The 48-year-old is 6 foot 5 inches and weighs 165 pounds. He has auburn-colored hair.
