COLBY, Wis. (WSAW) - Colby Cheese Days is back, and there will be many events throughout the weekend that you and your family can participate in. Friday is the start of a long day of events. It starts with a book and movie sale. You can shop starting at 7 a.m. at the Colby Lions Shelter, that will be open until 5 p.m. The food stand will open at 5 p.m. That way you can enjoy some grub before the carnival opens at 6 p.m. You can play bingo starting at 6 p.m. If bingo isn’t your forte, you can also watch the ATV Garden Tractor & UTV pulls at the same time. Two people have died in a listeria outbreak across 12 states in the U.S. that is likely linked to sliced deli meats, according to the CDC. In total, 28 people have been infected and hospitalized with the disease as of Friday in an outbreak that began in May, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
