    All Evacuations canceled for wildfire near Electric City

    GRANT COUNTY, Wash. —

    UPDATE, July 16 7:18 p.m.

    All evacuation levels for the Sun Lakes Fire in Electric City have been canceled.

    UPDATE, July 16 6:18 p.m.

    The Grant County Sheriff's Office lowered evacuations for residents near Electric City.

    The Sheriff's office said evacuations are now at Level 1 (Get Ready!) for Sunny Drive to 5th Street.

    Airplane and helicopter operations are still happening to help fight the fire,

    ORIGINAL, July 16 3:39 p.m.

    Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) has issued a Level 2 evacuation order for the residents near Electric City.

    As of 3:39 p.m. on July 16, Level 2 evacuations (Be ready to leave) were ordered for the people near Sunny Drive to 5th Street north of Electric City.

    A Level 1 (Get Ready) evacuation notice has been issued for S SR155 to Western Ave, Electric City.

    According to Washington Department of Transportation, a fire has closed SR 155 from milepost 23 near Electric City.

    GCSO said you must prepare to leave now or at a movement's notice.

    The sheriff's office also said boaters on Banks Lake should stay out of the general area to allow helicopters to get water uninterrupted.

    SR 155 has one lane open and controlled by DOT.
