Monday’s Rainfall Totals: North Dakota Needs To Dry Out
Our wet spring has continued into the early summer so far. Much of the state saw a 1/4 of an inch to nearly 2 inches of rain. Severe thunderstorms developed over western North Dakota Monday afternoon and continued to move across the state dropping heavy rain, especially if you got under the right thunderstorm. Parts of south-central, and especially northeast North Dakota saw the heaviest rain.

Bismarck man sentenced to two years for striking NDHP vehicle
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A Burleigh County judge sentenced a Bismarck man to serve two years in prison after Highway Patrol troopers say he struck a patrol car head-on. Officers say in March, Steven Kessel was driving south in the northbound lane on Highway 83 near Costco in north Bismarck. That’s when Kessel ran into the patrol car that was parked in the median.
