Jamestown Standout Invited to NBA Summer League
Former Jamestown Blue Jay, and University of Jamestown basketball player Mason Walters has been invited to the NBA Summer League by the Phoenix Suns. Walters would win the Mr. Basketball in North Dakota award, while winning a state championship with Jamestown, and became the University of Jamestown’s all time leading scorer and rebounder before transferring to Wyoming for a year where he averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 total rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

Osgood Elementary Administrator Cleared to Return to Work
A West Fargo area elementary school administrator is returning to his job after an investigation into physical altercations with students. Osgood Elementary Assistant Principal Joshua Dahl was placed on administrative leave after accusations of touching and aggressive grabbing of students. The West Fargo School District and state authorities performed an investigation. The report released this week says they found those accusations mostly valid and that Dahl violated policy, but that no abuse or negligence towards students was committed. In one incident, Dahl bruised a student who the district says was biting and punching him. The report also notes many students, faculty, and staff who are opposed to Dahl’s actions. He will be placed on an improvement plan and will return to Osgood Elementary this fall.
Fargo man arrested as prime suspect in shooting death appears in court
FARGO – A Fargo man arrested for the shooting death of another man at the Arbor Apartments last week has made his first court appearance. A judge set bond at $50,000 dollars for 20-year-old Amire Logan. If he posts that or pays $5,000 he can be released from jail.
