ESPN Top 300 recruit Bryson Webber commits to Nebraska
The Nebraska Cornhuskers landed their third 2025 ESPN 300 recruit on Sunday. Cornerback Bryson Webber announced his commitment to the Huskers on social media. Webber enters his senior year at Ridge Point High School but only his second year as a cornerback for the Panthers. Webber played wide receiver in his freshman and sophomore years before switching to cornerback. Behind the Scenes: Chattahoochee Riverkeeper keeps eye on water quality of river, streams
Despite the Chattahoochee River Keeper organization existing for 30 years, the river watchdog nonprofit only began a consistent monitoring in the Columbus area in the last few years. Because of an expanding staff, a new water quality lab partnership at Columbus State University, and tips from locals concerned about water quality, the riverkeepers are showing up more often to test water in the river and creeks. For the last six months, the directors have been going out on the river to take water samples on the Chattahoochee. What is the water sampling process like and where do the results end up? The Ledger-Enquirer took a ride with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Executive Director Jason Ulseth and two other riverkeeper to watch as they gathered samples near the Phenix City, Alabama water treatment plant outfall.
Physician assistant alumnus promoted to general
A UNMC College of Allied Health Professions alumnus has achieved a historic milestone as the first active-duty physician assistant to become a general in the U.S. Army. Brig. Gen. Bill Soliz, now the commanding general of Medical Readiness Command, Pacific, and the director of Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific, was awarded his Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree in 1999 from UNMC.
