A new quarterback to know in 2026 class for Nebraska football
Nebraska football has landed three Elite 11 quarterbacks in the past two classes and now the focus, at least in terms of quarterback recruiting is on 2026. The Huskers still have to hold onto the commitment of TJ Lateef, a four-star quarterback in 2025 out of California. But he says he’s 100 percent committed, even though he did say in an interview his recruitment wasn’t 100 percent closed.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Very hot and humid conditions returned to the area Monday afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid-90s. Thanks to very high humidity, the heat index, or feels like temperature, pushed into the 105 to 110 degree range for the metro, and for areas south of I-80. A cold front is moving through, but will have little impact on our temperatures until later tonight meaning the hot and humid conditions will stick around for the evening. Expect heat index readings of 100 to 110 degrees through at least 8 or 9pm.

Clay County murder case continued to July 31
CLAY CENTER, Neb. (KSNB) - The man accused of killing a Columbus woman and leaving her remains in a field appeared in Clay County District Court via telephone on Monday. Anthony Mattison, 35, of Osceola has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Jasmine Garnett. Her body was found in October 2022 in a Clay County field.
