ABILENE — The women's golf program will begin their fall portion of the 2024-25 schedule on Monday as they head to West Lafayette, Indiana for the Boilermaker Classic. Local man pleads guilty to burglaries in Stephens County
Stanley Dale Madison Jr., 28, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty in the 90th Judicial District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to three state jail felony offenses of burglary. The charges, filed by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, stem from burglaries committed at the Breckenridge Elks Lodge, Truman’s Beverage Barn (formerly known as Jonesy’s), and Perfect Pump and Supply in February and March 2023.

It certainly appears that we aren't taking very good care of our teachers. A number of Texas school districts have kicked off the school year. This type of thing would never be on my radar, except for the fact that a number of teachers posted their Amazon wish lists online in order to receive a little help. If you're unfamiliar with the phenomenon, the teachers are so desperate for classroom basics that they are turning to their communities for a little support. I have to say, it's a bit embarrassing that the State Of Texas doesn't give teachers what they need to do their jobs.
