Run & Party For a Cause This Weekend in Augusta w/ Kelly’s Cause For Brain Tumors
One of my favorite things that I do in my 'spare' time is taking part in a committee-member role on Kelly's Cause For Brain Tumors. Kelly Theberge has been a wonderful friend of mine for more than 300 years, and I love being part of her wonderful cause. This year, our 5K after party will be taking place at Westernview Golf Club from 1-5.
Man with 4 Kids in Truck Arrested for OUI after Crash in Maine
A 26-year-old man with four kids in truck and a 55-year-old woman were both arrested for OUI Saturday night after a crash on Route 100 at Skillin Road in Cumberland. The Cumberland Police Department said a Standish man with four children in a pickup truck crashed after pulling in front of a sedan around 9:56 pm.

Not only did the 4-year-old daughter of Western Maverick take a new 1:55.4 lifetime mark with Bruce Ranger in the bike, but her clocking was just a tick off the track record.
It’s Official: KC Has A Lobster Roll Food Truck
As of this weekend, a Cousins Maine Lobster food truck is a permanent fixture in KC. You may have heard of the LA-based franchise before. Owners (and cousins) Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis pitched it on ABC’s investor reality show Shark Tank in 2012. The pair’s dream to share their local Maine family traditions was a success and they walked out with a $55,000 investment from real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran. According to The Star, as of today, the franchise has food trucks and a handful of full-service restaurants in over 40 cities.

Biddeford — The Wall That Heals, a name-for-name replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is making a special stop at Biddeford Middle School from July 18th to July 21st, 2024. This traveling memorial honors the sacrifices made by Vietnam veterans, allowing the local community to pay tribute to the 58,000 U.S. service members who lost their lives during the Vietnam War.

Airlines are slowly resuming operations Friday, after a global IT outage forced many flights at the Portland International Jetport to be delayed or canceled. The crowds were beginning to dissipate by about 9:30 a.m., but there were still some signs of disruption. Hampton woman arrested after allegedly firing gun into neighbor's apartment, police say
HAMPTON, N.H. — A woman is in custody after she allegedly fired a bullet into her neighbor's apartment in Hampton on Friday, authorities said. The Hampton Police Department said they were called to Old English Apartments on Winnacunnet Road around 3:15 a.m. for a report of a woman who was banging on her neighbor's door and yelling. Authorities said officers warned the woman, Erin McCarthy, 38, of Hampton, that if they had to return for similar complaints, she would be charged with disorderly conduct.
Harrison shooting leaves one injured, one arrested
HARRISON — One person has been injured and a man arrested after a shooting in the town of Harrison in the early hours of Saturday, July 20. Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Bridgton Police Department were called by numerous residents who reported shots fired and screaming. The shots were fired in the area of Waterford Road and Depot Street in Harrison. Deputies found blood in the roadway, at about the same time that the Cumberland County Regional Communications Center received a call from Bridgton Hospital reporting a walk-in gunshot victim.

The classical and baroque share a loving cup of the local wine. Everything was very different from Tuscany. The sky was a deeper clearer blue, the sea a transparent turquoise and all the colors seemed to be electrified. Arriving at night, the half moon rising over the sea, heading to Mount Etna from Catania Airport, with its curve parallel to the sea was a profound and magical preface of things to come. I returned to Tuscany and began painting this new and extremely colorful experience.
