Elizabeth downs Linden in home opener - Football recap
Jamad Lyles and Arique Flemming each scored a pair of touchdowns to lead Elizabeth to a 35-26 home-opener win over Linden, in Elizabeth. Tyrone Hinton put Linden (0-1) up early with a short-yardage touchdown in the first quarter, but the Minutemen responded quickly with a 77-yard kickoff return touchdown by Antoine Blount and then went on to score three more unanswered touchdowns.
