    Carter County Schools provides meals, other disaster relief

    Carter County Schools is providing hot disaster relief meals available for curbside pickup, Monday through Friday, until further notice. The schedule is as follows:

    — Cloudland Elementary, 8540 U.S. 19E, Roan Mountain, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the front parking lot.

    — Hampton Elementary, 408 U.S. 321, Hampton, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the front parking lot.

    — Happy Valley Elementary, 1840 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the front parking lot.

    — Hunter Elementary, 145 Hope St., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the front parking lot.

    In addition, the system is opening schools for other disaster relief needs.

    Happy Valley High School is open 24 hours, offering showers, laundry, necessities, and charging stations.

    Hampton Elementary is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. offering showers, laundry, necessities, and charging stations.

    Unaka High School, 119 Robinson Lane, is open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., or as needed, offering showers, laundry, and charging stations.
