The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) division of the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has recognized Snap-on Tools in Elizabethton with the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health.

TOSHA Assistant Commissioner Wendy Fisher presented the Commissioner’s Award of Excellence to the company on June 12, 2023, at the Tennessee Safety and Health Conference in Nashville.

“Snap-on Tools has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace,” said Fisher. “The evaluation criteria for this award are challenging, and this company has worked extremely hard to meet and exceed the standards the award requires.”

The Commissioner’s Award of Excellence recognizes Tennessee employers and employees who meet a required number of hours without workplace injuries serious enough to cause an employee to miss a day of work. The number of hours required is based on the size of the company.

Snap-on Tools manufactures hand tools. The company has qualified for the Commissioner’s Award by working more than 1,060,711 hours without a lost time or restricted duty workplace injury or illness.
