Some members of the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center as well as some other seniors in the area recently enjoyed a bus tour, which included stops in Tennessee, Arkansas and Colorado.

Stops in Tennessee included Beale Street and the famous Peabody Hotel in Memphis. Other stops included Fort Smith National Historic Site in Arkansas, Garden of the God, U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum, US Air Force Academy in Colorado, the Royal Gorge Bridge, which is the highest suspension Bridge that stands 965 feet above the wild Arkansas River, Pikes Peak, and numerous other sites.

Another trip is planned for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick in Canada. The trip is planned for August 19-31 of this year. Presently, five more people are needed for the trip. Those interested can call Gail at 543-4476 or the Elizabethton Senior Center at 543-4362 for more information.
