Ridgway man charged with criminal trespassing
RIDGWAY — An Elk County man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly broke into an apartment to hide from police. The Ridgway Police Department has charged Bryce David Busink, 28, of Ridgway, with one count of criminal trespassing by entering a structure, a felony in the third degree, according to a criminal complaint filed at Magisterial District Judge James Martin’s office June 19.

RIDGWAY — Immediately following their meeting on June 20, the Elk County Commissioners dedicated a Mark Twain Bur Oak tree in honor of the Ridgway Bicentennial Celebration. The American Heritage tree was planted by certified arborist Tim Frontz, who remarked that the original Mark Twain Bur Oak, also called the Liberty Tree Bur Oak, grows outside the Mark Twain Cave in Hannibal, Missouri where Mark Twain lived.
