LOS ANGELES - A California teen continues to make waves after qualifying for the Olympic trials this summer. Swimming prodigy Gabi Brito has already broken records in California. At just 13 years old, she swam the 50-meter freestyle race in 25.42 seconds. Her phenomenal time made her the fastest 13-year-old to swim the event in Southern California, which then earned her a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympic trials.

Wildfire monitoring camera captures moments leading up to it being consumed by Park Fire
BUTTE COUNTY – A camera monitoring the Park Fire burning near Chico appears to have been overcome by the flames. The camera, part of the Alert California network, was perched on a peak about nine miles northeast of the Chico Municipal Airport. It's been watching the Park Fire grow since Wednesday afternoon. Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, the smoke plume from the fire started to take up nearly the whole frame of the camera. By 7 p.m., smoke filled nearly all of the screen. Ukiah Library to host Art Walk staff show ‘After Work’
The Ukiah Branch Library staff invites the community to join us for Art Walk Ukiah: Mixed Media Staff Show “After Work” on Friday, Aug. 2 from 5-7 p.m. During July and August, we will feature a mixed media exhibit created by the talented Ukiah Library staff.
