    Novotny endorsed, Emmer speaks at Senate District 30 BPOU Convention

    Rep. Paul Novotny, R-Elk River, was endorsed Saturday, April 6 at the Senate District 30 2024 BPOU Convention at the Elk River American Legion.

    Delegates in attendance also heard from Sixth District Congressman Tom Emmer and U.S. Senate candidate Joe Fraser, who will challenge Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, and Sherburne County Commissioner Andrew Hulse, who will be up for re-election to a non-partisan seat.

    The convention attracted dozens of people and included a vote to determine which 23 would be headed to the state and congressional conventions.

    The GOP left precinct caucuses with 98 delegates spread across 14 precincts. There were five different resolution categories that were brought forward on the topics of elections reform, the state flag, homeschooling, senior care and sanctuary states.

    The delegates elected include Paul Novotny, Andrew Hulse, Emily Novotny Chance, Nicole Novotny, Joy Goodwin, Nicholas Zerwas, Daniel Breyen, Paula Coffey, Kent Chance, Olivia Matthews, Brady Kreger, Kenneth Beaudry, Kenneth Glaser, James Calva, Matt Stevens, Nancy Breyen, Redgie Olson, Corey VanDenburgh, Joseph Theroux, D Judd Mowry, III; Gary Tonsager; Jeffrey Pilon and Sheryl Olson.
