No last-minute filings for Sherburne County Board positions

Three people — including the two incumbents — filed for the two seats on the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners that are up for election this year. The filing period ended June 4.

Incumbent Lisa Fobbe and Brad Schumacher filed in District 5 and incumbent Andrew Hulse filed in District 1. Schumacher is from Baldwin Township and Fobbe is from Princeton. Hulse is from Elk River.

District 5 includes Zimmerman, Baldwin Township, most of Livonia Township and that part of the city of Princeton that is in Sherburne County. Fobbe was first elected to the County Board in 2016, reelected in 2020 and is seeking her third term.

District 1 encompasses approximately the southern half of Elk River. Hulse was elected to represent District 1 in 2022.

There are five commissioners on the Sherburne County Board. Only the District 1 and 5 seats are up for election in 2024.
