Sherburne County received the Blazing Star Award from Conservation Minnesota at the County Board of Commissioners meeting on Dec. 19. The award acknowledges exceptional local government projects that advance conservation, climate resilience, environmental protection, or outdoor recreation opportunities. Sherburne County received the award for enhancements to and management of Grams Park in Zimmerman. Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Elk River on Friday, Dec. 15.
