The second annual West Side Revival is planned for Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. on West Main Street and West Depot Alley in Elkin. Co-sponsoring this downtown event of food, drinks and live music are Explore Elkin, Elkin Railyard, Fruition Cocktail Bar, along with the Elkin TDA, American Aquatic, Lost Province Brewing, and Laconia Ale Works.

Amanda Edgerley, owner of Fruition, said the inspiration for the West Side Revival was “to get people downtown for Memorial Day weekend” instead of people going out of town for the holiday weekend.

“We wanted something fun to do in town and have a family-friendly event with free local music and fun activities for people to enjoy,” Edgerley said.

Kicking off the afternoon of music will be the Buffalo Kings at 12 p.m., 3-Toe Possum at 2 p.m., Featherpocket at 4 p.m. and Kyle Caudle and Timberline and 6 p.m.

Food trucks Two Chefs, Slider’s Street Food and Poppycox Nashville Hot Chicken will be on site.

The newly repaved parking area at West Main and West Depot Alley will be a great setting for this mini-music fest. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair and relax and enjoy the afternoon on the West side of downtown Elkin this Memorial Day weekend.
