NORTH EAST — Twelve students-athletes from Cecil College were named to the National Junior College Athletic Association's All-Academic teams on Thursday afternoon.

Volleyball's Lily Landis and softball's Delaney Stanley headlined the group with first team honors. Landis — a native of Elkton — played in 17 matches for the Seahawks last fall and led Cecil in digs with 223 at the libero spot. Landis earned an All-Region honorable mention nod in 2023. Stanley played in 14 games as a member of the Seahawks' revitalized softball program.

Volleyball's Skylar Klingler and Nora Watkins, along with baseball's Ben Campbell and basketball's Jaiden Guy comprised the four second team recipients. Soccer's Aidan Hayes, Nathan Ramsden and Ronaldo King, baseball's Ryan Thompson and Matt Murdock and softball's Jhaydin Ledford were recipients of third team honors.

Landis, Klingler, Watkins and Thompson are two-time all-academic recipients. Athletes were named to the academic teams based on academic performance. First team selections finished with a GPA of 4.0, second team recipients finished with a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99 and third team members finished with a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79. Over 12,000 athletes from across the country were named to the NJCAA All-Academic teams.
