Another Wet and Stormy Day for Most in the Valley
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - It’s going to be another wet and rainy day at times for most in the Valley. Temperatures this morning are in the 70s across the area and will warm up to the mid to upper 80s, that is if the rain doesn’t move in before lunchtime. Showers and storms will develop in a very similar way to what the Valley saw yesterday. A few of these storms will bring brief downpours, rumbles of thunder, and gusty winds, but we are not expecting severe conditions. Going into the start of the work week, the Valley stays with the unsettled weather pattern with coverage between 40-60% and temperatures in the upper 80s. It’s going to be a good idea to keep the rain gear close by every day this week, but the days with the best coverage looks to be Wednesday or Thursday. Drier conditions look to be on the horizon late next week into the weekend to bring an end to this wet weather pattern we have been stuck in. If this is the case temperatures next weekend would warm back to the mid-90s.
