Some hospital associations around the country are warning that they face a disruption of intravenous and peritoneal dialysis solutions due impacts on a medical production facility in North Carolina. Baxter International, an Illinois-based healthcare company, said its facility east of Asheville in western North Carolina suffered significant impacts from Helene, with many roadways and bridges left impassable following the storm.
