Lewes shows to feature jam band music Aug. 11, 14
Ahead of Phish’s Mondegreen Festival set for Thursday to Sunday, Aug. 15 to 18, at The Woodlands in Dover, Rocking the Docks will present two kickoff events. Kids Coastal Beats will present The Music of Phish for Kids at 11 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, under the tent at the Lewes ferry terminal grounds. “We will have face-painting, a kids’ mocktail bar, lemonade stand and an entire concert geared toward the kids,” said Cara VanBelle, Kids Coastal Beats director. The show will feature beloved Phish songs tailored to entertain and engage the young audience.
‘Devil is Fine’ author to sign books July 28

The novel explores what it means to be a father, a son, a writer and a biracial American fighting to reconcile the past. Reeling from the sudden death of his teenage son, the narrator receives a letter from an attorney: He has just inherited a plot of land from his estranged grandfather. He travels to a beach town several hours south of his home with the intention of immediately selling the land. But upon inspection, what lies beneath the dirt is much more than he can process in the throes of grief.
