Tableware Fit For a King
What does King Charles dining at Warwick Castle have in common with diners at several restaurants in Ellicottville? Tableware!. Indeed, at Warwick Castle, His Royal Highness eats off the same Steelite brand plates, as do guests at the Culinary Institutes of America and premium restaurants in Vegas, New Orleans, Nashville, Boston, NYC, and yes, Ellicottville. My guess is that King Charles, who is fully committed to saving the environment, is especially fond of this company because of their membership in the in UK’s Green Organization and winning several awards for Environmental Best Practice.

Mayor John Burrell and the Village Board addressed this situation and put forth a solution. Following a year of planning and development, spearheaded by Village Board Trustee Doug Bush, the new parking lot on Mill Street is NOW open to the public.

There’s a whole lot of shaking going on at the Village Hall. Our Mayor, John Burrell, has relocated his office to the Village DPW Building. Mary Klahn, Village Clerk extraordinaire for 17 years, has retired and has been replaced by Amy Hayward. An assessment of the tasks and extras Mary has juggled for these past years indicates that it would take two people to replace her. No surprise there!
