    2 arrested for stealing cooking oil from a restaurant in Ellington

    ELLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men were arrested early on Tuesday morning for stealing used cooking oil from a restaurant in Ellington.

    Police investigating series of burglaries at Yale University

    Jonathan Gutierrez Rosario, 34 and Ronald Gutierrez-sant, 29 were found by the owner of the restaurant sitting in the parking lot in an unmarked white van using a hose to pump oil into the vehicle. The owner remained on the phone with police as the two fled the scene in the van, and police were able to catch them on an I-84 ramp.

    The two men were both charged with possession of burglar’s tools, criminal trespassing in the 2nd degree and larceny in the 4th degree. They were both held on a $100,000 bond.
