Sister Bay Receives $906,000 Trail Grant
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has granted $906,000 to the Village of Sister Bay for a walking and biking trail along state Highway 57 . The state’s Transportation Alternatives Program grant – the same program grant the Village of Egg Harbor has received for its highway redevelopment project – will enable the village to begin work in the spring on a 10-foot wide, multi-modal asphalt trail extending 4,500 feet from the intersection of Gateway Drive near state Highway 42, south to Northwoods Drive, parallelling the west side of Hwy 57. The route will provide safe access to the Northern Door Children’s Center, and connect homes, apartments and businesses to the downtown area.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — One person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting incident in Oshkosh. Police were called to the 1000 block of Wisconsin Street shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to find a 19-year-old Michigan man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist who died in Green Bay crash identified as Bellevue man
GREEN BAY — A man who died in a motorcycle crash Friday was identified Tuesday as 21-year-old Cole Blasier, from Bellevue. The crash occurred at the intersection of South Huron Road and Finger Road. According to a press release from the Green Bay Police Department, Blasier was traveling down South Huron Road at speeds higher than the posted 35 mph limit when he crashed into an SUV driving on Finger Road. Police were dispatched just after noon.
