Quality and quantity reign at Historic Montesano Car Show
Jul. 22—It felt a little bit like a Southern summer day on Saturday, with high heat, some definite humidity and no clouds in sight. The weather in Montesano and the beauties in sight — classic cars that included Ford Model A's, Packards, shiny trucks, El Caminos, "true" Cadillacs — as one person said, and other classic automobiles from about 50 years to 100-year-old cars that lined the streets ...

Longtime neighborhood residents still fondly remember the original Mr Gyros nestled in a tiny shop on 84th and Greenwood, and the gregarious and welcoming owners who greeted everyone happily upon arrival and never forgot a face. You will also recall the day that shop ceased to exist – March 9, 2016 – as it was reduced to rubble in a devastating natural gas explosion.
Russell Okung recalls ‘rarely used’ play that led to Marshawn Lynch’s ‘Beastquake’
There have been bigger wins and more important moments in Seattle Seahawks franchise history, but perhaps no play will endure as one of the all-time great NFL highlights than Marshawn Lynch’s 67-yard touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in the 2010 Wild Card Round. Lynch seemingly ran through the...
Black Belt Eagle Scout cancels shows due to medical issues; GoFundMe launched
Black Belt Eagle Scout has cancelled her upcoming shows due to some “pretty scary health issues” she’s been experiencing. “Earlier this year, I started experiencing some weird symptoms that I thought were from pinched nerves in my neck and spine,” she writes. “After many doctors visits and medical tests, and having to advocate so hard for myself within the medical system, via MRIs, I’ve finally been able to get some answers. I am now working with a top neurologist in Seattle who suspects I have relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). I am still undergoing more testing and have been having a hard time with my energy, mobility and other nerve symptoms.”
