ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum will host a workshop for those interested in learning about the lifespan of a monarch butterfly.

The workshop will be on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. Tanglewood volunteer Beverly Morrell will guide attendees through the life of a monarch butterfly starting from an egg to an adult butterfly, as well as help them begin to grow their own butterfly for release. All materials for the workshop will be provided by Tanglewood, including milkweed, small butterfly habitats and other materials.
